Govt provides all support to IT firms to establish biz: PTR

The government is providing all support to tech companies to estab- lish their business in the state, said Dr. Palanivel Thiagarajan, Minister of Information Technology and Digital Services, while inaugurating the new facili- ty of GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group company and leader in digital engineering at RMZ Millenia Business Park, Perungudi on Thursday.

"It is good to see companies creat- ing high quality jobs, and creating additional facilities in their exist- ing premises. The companies are providing quality services at the latest version of artificial intelli- gence," he said.

Piyush Jha, group vice-president and managing director, GlobalLogic, said they would expand their headcount in the city to 1,000 this year. The company cur- rently employs 800 skilled people in its two centres at Guindy and Perungudi. This new facility brings the company closer to clients and Global Capability Centre (GCC) partners," he said.

 

"With Chennai as a focal point, we are investing in leadership, domain expertise, and advanced engineering to solve some of the most complex challenges in tele- com, from 5G monetisation and intelligent networks to AI-driven customer experience," he said.
